By purchasing from Maine Clam Gear Co., you agree to the terms and conditions outlined below. These terms apply to all orders placed through our website, in person, or through authorized partners.

2. Product Information

All items are described and photographed as accurately as possible. Because many of our products are handmade or feature natural materials, slight variations in color, finish, or size may occur.
We reserve the right to make updates or improvements to our designs and pricing at any time without prior notice.

3. Orders & Payment

Orders are processed in the order they are received. Full payment is required at checkout to confirm your purchase.
We accept all major credit cards, PayPal, and other payment methods available at checkout.

4. Shipping

Orders are made to order. Depending on the line ahead of you orders could take up to two weeks to make and ship. If you have specific time restraints please note them at checkout, or call (207) 726-4620 before you place your order. Please ensure your shipping information is accurate — we cannot be responsible for delays or losses caused by incorrect addresses.

5. Use of Gear

Our gear is designed for recreational and commercial shellfish harvesting. Always follow local regulations and safety guidelines when harvesting in tidal or coastal areas. Maine Clam Gear Co. is not liable for injuries or fines resulting from improper use or violation of local harvesting laws.

6. Limitation of Liability

Maine Clam Gear Co. shall not be held liable for any incidental, indirect, or consequential damages arising from the use or misuse of our products. Our liability is limited to the purchase price of the item.

Return and Refund Policy

Returns

We accept returns within 30 days of delivery on unused items in their original condition and packaging.
To start a return, please email [info@gulfofme.com] with your order number and reason for return.
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the product arrived damaged or defective.

Exchanges

If you need to exchange an item for a different size, style, or handle color (e.g., pink, blue, red, or white), please contact us within 30 days of receiving your order. Exchanges will be processed once the original item is returned.

Damaged or Defective Items

If your order arrives damaged, please contact us including photos of the packaging and product so we can resolve the issue quickly. We’ll replace or refund your order at no additional cost.

Non-Returnable Items

For safety and hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns on items that have been used in the field or show signs of wear, dirt, or saltwater exposure.

Refund Processing

Refunds are issued to your original payment method once the return has been received and inspected. Please allow 5–7 business days for processing.
